About Elevated Energy
We set out to build something that actually worked for nonprofits. Most contractors build what they're handed. We kept asking a different question: what does this project make possible for the organization? And what happens if no one sticks around long enough to find out?
Origin story
Scott Thompson founded Perrysburg Energy because nonprofit and commercial clients were exhausted by fragmented energy projects. Too many vendors. Too many handoffs. No one who owned the whole picture.
So Perrysburg Energy was built to own the full project lifecycle. One accountable partner, from procurement through commissioning. It worked.
We expanded from commercial LED lighting into solar. And as the projects got bigger and more complex, the same issue kept surfacing: organizations weren't struggling because they lacked options. They struggled because no one stayed after the system turned on.
The evolution
While other contractors were building solar projects, we were building mission infrastructure. We were designing projects around an organization's values, aligning capital to the mission, and creating reporting structures that let leaders tell a story worth telling.
Molly Thompson joined to build the strategy and systems that could scale that approach. Together, we created Elevated Energy: the developer and IP division built to do what Perrysburg Energy proved was possible, just at a higher level.

Scott brings decades of experience in home building, contracting, commercial LED lighting, and solar development. He founded Perrysburg Energy in 2016 and oversees project development strategy, financial modeling, and construction operations across all Elevated Energy projects.
